Default For Sale Feeler 240 glt saloon

Hello.

I am just putting this out as a feeler, to see what kind of reaction it gets.

Due to rising insurance costs, and the fact that I can only afford to drive my 240 once a week, I am thinking about selling it and getting something cheaper to run. I don't have another car, and live within walking distance of my work.

Obviously, I don't want to sell it. I love it. I just looks like I can't afford to keep it. But someone else could give it a loving home....

It runs fine, was serviced 3000 miles ago. There is a bit of noise from the back when going over bumps. New rear shocks fitted 6 month ago so it's not them. New front brake pads 4 month ago, new back-box 2 months ago.

Bodywork is in good condition, and apparently "you never see them in black" as I have been told at meetings.

All original fittings and fixtures are there, plus some extras.

I'm not at home right now but I think it's got tax until end august, & Mot until Feb '11. 128,000 miles.

There are pictures of it available by the link in my user name but bear in mind the broken rear light has been replaced now. There are also loads of pictures of it at some of the recent scottish meets, in their threads.

Fitted new front speakers behind the original grilles, new rear speakers in boxes (didn't want to cut shelf) has a 12" active sub in the boot and a mp3cd head unit.

It can get 35mpg if it goes 65mph on motorways.

Usual GLT comfort although the driver seat is a bit saggy in the seat and has split in the usual place.

REMEMBER: JUST A FEELER.

What do you think?

I listed as a feeler to see if anyone is interested in it, and to see what others think. It is for sale for the right price, like everything in this world.

I have been looking for quotes all day which has lead me down this route. Of course I would miss it, I love it.

Thank you for your help.

Unless I`m missing it, the most important part of this advert are still missing! There will always be people "interested" in a 240, but not if you don`t include some basic information such as MOT, Tax, mileage, service history. Then, more detailed information on the condition, and negatives etc etc.

Forget it.

My friend is gonna take the car off me for a year until I get my finances back on track.
This way I can still drive it now and again and it won't be far away.

And I've still got two weeks with it until the insurance runs out!

Sorry to have wasted anyone's time or gotten anyone's hopes (or noses!) up.

Any chance an admin could close this thread or even delete it?

It was me panic-ing and being hasty.

Sorry. Won't do it again.
