Has anyone "lifted" a V50??
Let me explain. My main passion in life is hiking and I'm out almost every weekend hiking a trail. However, I'm finding the car struggles a bit getting to and from some areas as it's a fairly low slung car and some of the roads are less than forgiving (huge potholes, untarmaced roads, etc).
Now don't get me wrong I take my time going over these roads but the undertray catches constantly. Has anyone "lifted" a V50? I'm not talking crazy lifts, just maybe an inch higher or so to give that extra ground clearance. Even some higher profile tires will probably help a little I would think? |

Well, I can only recommend getting stock AWD model and you wont have problem with low clearance, like...ever :P
joking aside - AWD suspension have different springs and extra mounts making it stance higher. I'm not sure whether its possible/feasible/sensible to go that route, but its worth investigating maybe?

If you want to lift your car the following should do. Ours looks like a tractor now:
Eurocarparts Sachs Springs: 627660940 2 Sachs Coil Spring (Front) 627661240 2 Sachs Coil Spring (Rear) Heavy Duty I'll post a picture later but our factory lowered DRIVe is now pretty high. This, for me, was deliberate as well. Every time I took the car to the alps it would ground on top of hill junctions. It doesn't now! As long as you don't care about the look you'll be fine.

FM and Markos are gangin up on me! D I think Im gonna set up kickstarter campaign LYL LowerYourLizard dontations welcome D joking aside - that set looks like a very good deal (quality wise and price wise). I wonder though, would it be wise to put such on stock suspension with its long travel or it would f*up characteristic? I am not interested in lowering just for looks, it would have to actually retain the good handling characteristic it has now (yes, it does! )
