Default Delayed action on lifting off throttle

Hello all

When I lift off the throttle to change gear etc.. it takes a while for the revs to drop. What I appear toget is a slow drop from about 3000 down to 1000 where it hesitates and then drops quickly to tickover.

Any Ideas what the cause is and hopefully quick cheap fix?

Chris

I had an 850 which did this.

Cleaning the throttle body can help. These tend to get a bit clogged over time. Used some carb-cleaner on mine and it helped.

Possibly a leak on a vacume hose.
