Seems a real shame to let those Galacticas go to a scrapyard. Are they corroded/badly curbed? If not you should get min £100 for them alone on eBay.... stick on some cheap steelies and scrappie probably won't care.

EDIT: aha! Saw your other post, great minds think alike They do look a bit corroded though, so £100 might be a stretch unless the tyres are good.

If I may discuss eBay tactics for a moment... IMHO, YMMV, etc.....

Hardly anybody gets bargains on eBay any more -- too many snipers and upsellers for that to happen, although every so often you do come up trumps if you're patient. So I'd just lower the starting price to £50, or even 99p, I'm sure they'll bid up to the going rate (whatever that is... but apparently less than £100!)

I'd have thought you'd get at least £50 for any reasonable wheels in OK condition, plus maybe a bit more if the tyres are particularly good. Better to have £50 in your pocket, than nowt, and some old wheels sitting around indefinitely.... Unless you have loads of space of course and then sit tight.

Crater auctions I've been watching have finished around £120+ in OK condition, anything in particularly good condition goes for £150+. Considering a refurb costs £200, it's nonsense buying anything other than a perfect pair. Unless you're doing the refurb yourself.

Maybe worth mentioning in the listing that Paisley Freight will ship them -- I think it's about £35 for a set of wheels.

LOL -- I'm in exactly the opposite position. Until we get the keys I have no storage space, otherwise I'd gladly take them for £50 just to see how they look!

Story of my year so far, "one day I'll have a house"
