v 50 dipstick
Hi Everyone,
If you can help , maybe ? just got V 50 with D3,150. I read this engine is essentially a short-stroke D5,detuned for less power. I intend to install a dipstick for the usual reasons; the place to put it looks the same as a D5, is there any issues ? Appreciated in advance, Hamar |

I have fitted one to a D3 my S80. I don’t think you will have any trouble. The V50 engine bay is obviously smaller so the air intake system is slightly different but I don’t think this will get in the way of the tube. I’ve attached a photo of mine if you zoom in you will see where the dipstick goes to. (The yellow bit in the photo, only one I could find ).Other than that straight forward job about 15 mins work.
