Default Noise and image query

Hi,

Seem to be having some air con issues, mainly the fact that it doesn't get cool or stay cool even if it's not ice cold cool. Be it using the Auto function or turning the air con high or low.
1 - In the video, does anyone have any explanations on what that periodic (7 seconds or so) repeated noise. I heard it's related to low gas, but are there any other reasons? Will be getting someone to re-gas it hopefully in the week so will update if that noise does go away.

2 - in the image, there's a condensation section of that pipe, is that normal? Or is it related to the issues I might be having?

Thanks

Hi,

First issue is pretty much caused by low refridgerant pressure. Compressor engages and then it gets disengage by sensor to prevent damage due to lack of proper lubrication. Hence the repeated clicking sound. Hopefully someone sheds more light on second issue, cheers!

Thanks. I’ll look to get it re-gassed and then assess it.

Ok. So got it re-gassed last week and all working fine now. The a/c is ice cold and a god send in this weather. The clutch is still engaging but as you guys say it’s normal to do that.

Thassos, its a 2006 S40 Sport SE 2.4 auto
