A returning Volvo owner
Hello again
Just wanted to say hello to everyone after a extended break from volvo ownership. Today i picked up 2001 S40 1.8 1 previous owner 72,000 miles. Its in very good condition and as soon a sat in the seats i thought 'its good to be back' (I previously had a C70 T5 and a S40 1999 2.0SE). During my absence i have had a Audi A6 1.8T good comfy car, but had problems, SEAT toledo 1.9 TDi good diesel engine but unrefined and had many niggles. Are there any quick upgrades that i can do to improve the performance of the 1.8 (non GDI) |

Hi and welcome back to the comfort zone
I am sorry that I don't know a great deal on perfomance mods, you could always ask the question on S40 concepts, you may get a better response ? http://s40concepts.net/forum/index.p...0e3f09a69ead3b check out the 'Performance & Style - Volvo S/V40 Performance & Styling' section of the forum http://s40concepts.net/forum/index.p...0e3f09a69ead3b

Battery Replacment
Thanks Andy
Just one quick question. How do you change the battery? Is is a case of just taking the old one out and putting the new one in, or do i have to wait for a period of time before i put the new one in. The only reason for asking is because I have seen posts mentioning SRS lights staying on after battery replacment. Cheers |

When I changed my battery I just took the old one out and put the new one in straight away. No problems (other than having to enter the radio security code).
