240 General: - Klarius downpipe fitting day!

Hi all 200 series folk..Due to the fact that i am the worst businessman that ever lived to date and my reluctance to let any more mechanics that seriously could not change a plug without counseling or exhaust fitting companies that blow dust off the book for my exhaust and quote to me anyway a lot of money whilst having an argument with thier partner on the phone and in the chaos of such an establishment one of the operatives offers to take my car off my hands for banger racing...and with respect does actually like my bertha but also has sinister plans for her..what with twin carbs and a household paint job..I politely decline this most generous of offers and point out that this car is the family carriage and i would rather burn it in a secluded pagan ritual more fitting for a faithfull and loyal part of the estate than the outcome you have happened upon!..Sooooooo!..frightened away from the madding crowd and coinage required not to mention the proposistion of parting with my trusty steed for a handful of peppercorns myself and bertha exhaust bellowing made haste for the levelling and comforting highways and byways of our village..anyway i bought a klarius downpipe from eurocarparts..all done and fitted for forty english pounds and i must also add although it is a little more resonant than the old one i take great delight that berthas cough has finally gone and we no longer need to move to sunnier climbs to alleviate her affliction...LANDLORD!...MORE WINE!
