Roof bars for 2009 s40

Hoping to get a roof box sorted for the weekend, am i limited to size with an s40

What bars are best to get, i see some are universal but not sure at all

I went for genuine ones from a main dealer. Think I paid around £140 for them. I'm very happy with them, the fit well, and don't make any real wind noise that I have noticed.

I went for the dealer volvo ones specific for our car. On the inside of your doors at the top you will notice some small holes. The roof rack clamps slip into those and hold it firmer.

I got my roof bars and 2 bike stands for £90 second hand. I think the rack is a thule rack but branded as volvo.
