Default Fuel leak?

Evening all

Very much enjoying the C30 and discovering it's little pitfalls (as with any second hand car). Noticed a small leak near the offside rear, see pic below. Presume this is the fuel filter housing?

Photo is taken from the rear, looking forwards. Access is a bit difficult without ramps at the mo.

Yes, that is the fuel filter. If you have an oil filter wrench, you can use that to slightly tighten the filter housing. Do not overtighten, the factory specification is only 25 NM.

If this does not help, buy a new fuel filter. It will come with a new O ring.

This is looking like a bank holiday weekend job... Presume it's as simple as unscrewing the canister and swapping the filter (like the oil filter set up)?

Looks like there is a drain plug on the canister too?

Indeed. That drain plug allows you to drain the accumilated water.
The procedure for replacing this filter is the same as it is for the oil filter.

After replacement, you need to prime the system by putting the key to the second position 4-5 times (this will engage the fuel pump and remove air from the system).

Check out the attachements.

EDIT: once you remove the filter, about 1/2 liters of fuel will escape, you will need a catch can.
