I have a 1963 122S and am moving to France next month. I am hoping to take the car with me and was wondering if anyone knew of a Volvo/Classic car association in or around Paris and whether anyone had any experience of getting an Amazon serviced or repaired in France...or any other useful tips!
Many thanks.

There is a classic Volvo club in France named the Volvo Club de France. They have monthly get togethers just outside Paris. I cannot think at present of their address but one of there members is a VOC member who sends Dave Ovenden their clubs newsletter which is titled La Moulin de mon ? ( I can't remember the last word) but if you contact Dave on his phone number shown in Volvo Driver he will give you the contact number.

Bonne chance

Sir:

I can't tell where you are writing from but I am i the USA. My father had a beautiful 1966 122S in Pennsylvania when I was a child.

I am looking for a 122S (1960's) and wondered if you are in the USA would you be interested in selling?

If not, can you give me a best guess estimate as to how much a fairly good 122S is selling for these days?

I would appreciate your comments...

Regards and Happy New Year!

You can try to contact Serge Mattel at the Volvo club de France tel : 33 1 40 99 17 02 who could give some adresses or look at the French classical cars internet site: www.elvea.fr

good luck

Apologies for the late reply!

I live in France and have my car in the UK, which I guess is a little too far away for me to sell you the car! It's a shame as I am indeed looking to sell.

As far as prices in the UK are concerned, they are very different depending on whether the car is being sold in a city (especially London) or elsewhere. My experience is that you will find a decent 122S for £2,000-£2,500 outside London but would expect you to have to pay around £1,000 more for the same car in London.

I hope this is helpful!
