C cam should be a bit better when pulling the van.
Nice car
Derek

I can get the needles measured in our engineering workshop at the College where I work. How far apart should the measurements be taken?

That would be good Brian.
The measurements are taken every 1/8". The baseline measurement at the "thick" end would be 0990. A KN will have 16 "stations". Some needles are a bit shorter and only have 14. The DX and KD have 14. These are with a 0.090" jet. There are sets for 0.100" and 0.125" jets as well. A 1" SU won't need as long a needle as a 1.75".
I don't know how far he went down the needle when he started to thin it but the first 7 measurements for the KN are 990,962,933,905,870,820,782. That will allow your college guy to see where he marks off the needles.
Good luck.

Derek

It will probably be a couple of weeks before I can take the needles out to take them to College but I'll let you know as soon as I have the figures.
