Default Car in Standby mode

I connected to the car 3 or 4 times while I was away recently and after day 4 or 5 the app said that the car had gone into Standby Mode to conserve the battery. Interestingly, however, the app continued to report what looked like genuine temperatures so at least one system was operational. On return to the UK I didn't bother trying to use RES as I knew it wouldn't work after 5 days. But as I walked across the airport car park and was 100m from the car I tried it anyway. Surprisingly, the app asked if I wanted to wake up the car to enable RES although it did say that it could take up to an hour and did I wish to continue with it. I hadn't seen that message before but by this time I was at the car so said no.

Anyhoots, next time I'll try setting RES going as soon as the plane lands and by the time I've disembarked, gone through passport control, got my baggage and made it to the car park (phew) there's a good chance the car will have woken up and RES started. Someone else might want to give it a go too.

Thanks, that's really useful to know. From what ive read about the VOC app, the first 5 days its 100% available, after day 5 it reports out once an hour up to day 17 and after that i believe it turns off.
