VIDA read out 27/03/17
Hi folks

I managed to find a local garage with VIDA software and DICE equipment and got a printout of the codes it found- £25.
Here's a photo of the read out

They said it doesn't indicate what the A.C.problem is and it will need to go into a proper Volvo dealership for a further check to see if it needs a software upgrade- £82 + cost of upgrade if applicable.

The readout looks like it's confirming a dodgy flap position so did you ask them to do the calibration as suggested at the start of the thread?
It would have taken them 1 minute to do.

So they could have sorted it there and then with their own equipment? Where does it say on the read out about the faulty position? I don't know what I'm looking for and it seems they don't either.

I did ask them about recalibrating and they've referred me to Volvo who would have correct software update as I said.

CCM 0071 The 3rd fault down listed as active.

A recalibration may fix it, it may not but for them not to at least try whilst the car is there is a bit daft.

From what I gathered at the time I think maybe they're out of their depth with this one. I did ask them if it was maybe a damper motor problem from what people have said on this thread but they said no and that dampers are to do with the wheels or something to that effect err :err so can't say I'll be going back to them in future.

What does DTC mean?

Diagnostic Trouble Code?

What does it mean if it's found active?
