Pointless complaining about orange peel these days in honesty all of them have it. BMW are the worst because the orange peel originates in the primer.

Regarding the paintwork they would have just used a filling polish hence why you can see the damage now.

I would suggestyou get professional detailer or someone with a paint thickness gauge to measure across the car as the marks could be from fixing other damage during transit.

Leather wise let them order it and rectify but overall startwith the paint.

Photo of the damage caused during the PDI to remove some marks .

The door and the refuelling cap are more difficult to photograph due to the angle of the sun. Will try again tomorrow morning.

THAT is totally unacceptable..

Is there any finance on the vehicle? If so, I'd be writing to the finance company and rejecting it under the sale & supply of goods act, as not being of merchantable quality. I'd not bother with the dealer, as they were obviously happy to bodge it.. If you do have finance, then at the end of the day, it's their car until you've made all the payments..

No thats way beyond totally unacceptable. that's nothing short of vandalism.
As said if there's finance on the car in ant way give it back to them. A lot easier than trying to reject it with the dealer.

Thats crap and the dealer should be embarrassed.

A pro detailing company will sort it no problem, but id be wary of letting the dealer near it again.

Have you considered public shaming on social media? It can work wonders these days....

Unfortanatly there is teathing problems with new models there always is,

The dash is unfortanate as its a complete dash to sort it, which is quiet a big part of interior,

That paintwork is a disgrace and needs taking back to supplying dealer and you dont want it back until they have fixed it properly

Default Outrageous!

That is completely unacceptable.

If that is how the car appears after three weeks then I agree - this is rejection territory with the requirement for a full refund.

I know that is unpleasant, but this is a 59k car we're talking about. I'd have rejected right off if my XC60 looked like that - and that was only a 30k car.

Time to name and shame. Nothing about that is acceptable. It is disrespectful and rude to treat you like that.

For that alone I would also require a new dashboard too. Nothing short of perfection is good enough.
