My V60

Hi all,

It’s fantastic to see a thread for us V60 owners. Thanks mods

So which model do I have? It’s a T4 inscription plus in blue. I love it. Very comfortable and surprisingly economical. I bought it new in September 19 and it has done 2800 miles. Yes you heard right 2800. Why? Apart from lockdown I had odd Ill health, then last June was diagnosed as epileptic, so have to be seizure free for year before I get my licence back. On medication now which is working. So come June I should get my licence back and watch the mileage increase. SWMBO drives it very occasionally and I keep the battery charged and turn the wheels in the drive once a week at least.

Before my health issues I loved driving it. All the tech is fantastic and the car is super comfortable. I bought it from Volvo in Perth (Strathmore) with who I have been very happy. They also did the first service which was painless

My ownership experience to date has been great and I look forward to many years of happy safe motoring. I will update in due course

Great to see you're enjoying your V60!

I own a 2019 S60 T5 R-Design Edition from the first roll out of S60 into the UK.

Likewise, I've found the car very comfortable but I do wish the T5 was a little more economical. around 31-32mpg consistently would be nice but getting around 28 atm. Saying that, the power is delivered smoothly and the gearbox does a good job at changing gears when not rushed.

Out of curiosity, what sort of MPG are you seeing in your T4?

I got 35 on a 15 mile run last week. On a 200 mile run we had 44mpg last year. That’s fill to fill, although the displayed mpg was within about 2mpg. Bearing in mind the low mileage I think that is excellent. I use Tesco 99 fuel

I've had mine just over 2 years and covered 12k miles. Not many in 2020 though.
Average mpg over the 12k is 32. According to VOC it is 35 mpg, so a bit generous. I also use Tesco Momentum (99) as it seems a bit more economical, and much smoother, in the T5 engine. I also preferred it in my V40 T3, so worth considering.
