Weird thump on declutching
ump on disengaging clutch help please.
Hi, went into Volvo ownershipl 3 days ago with an XC60 manual AWD D5 205hp. 59k. Nothing noticed on two test drives but on way home noticed changing gear sometimes a slight thump is felt rather than heard a split second after the torque and drive takes up, if that makes sense. It can be felt better at 50mph in 5th gear by just declutching and re -engaging the clutch at any speed in the higher gears I have found. I am wondering if this is a DMF or Haldex issue as the clutch is smooth and quiet with no issues noticed. Or is it just a quirk of this driveline set up? We would be very grateful for any thoughts as obviously need to think quickly. Thanks so much. |

What you're experiencing may be subjective so go back to the dealership and drive another with a similar drivetrain.
Also get the salesman or service manager to accompany you and experience what you are feeling.
