So today was wheel bearing day on the OSF. I've had a rumble and resting my foot on the brake pedal stopped it. Lucky as the beari g was rough. So new OSF wheel bearing, the old one was rough. If your going to do it get some new m14x70x2 bolts and nuts for the struts as mine snapped.
Make sure you use release oil on it all leave it to soak for a bit.then take it apart. Once the drive shaft is out of the way it's so easy to do use the top hole of the hub and bottom of the strut to hold the hub still as you remove the bolts that hold the bearing in. It's much easier to get them out with it holding it in place.
Make sure where the bearing goes is all clean as it gets rather corroded in there lightly grease it then re fit everything. Once all done the sound is still there but at 40mph now so only other thing is the discs and pads to do,as this can be the only other thing causing the sound. Bearing was the cheaper option.
But front brakes are not in best condition anyway so they are for tomorrows job.
