General: Lost of power

Hi I have a 2007 D5 xc90 and I struggle to accelerate, I have recently had the cylinder head changed with new timing belt and pump with the DPF cleaned out. It came up on the diagnostic set as exhaust temp sensor & pressure sensor. These were both changed the pressure sensor admittedly was a cheap version, but I’m still struggling to get it moving. It’s now saying MAF sensor pressure sensor. Do I go for broke and buy new MAF sensor (can it be cleaned) pressure sensor and DPF. Any advice will be greatly appreciated.

Stop throwing parts at it and get a proper diagnosis by a competent VIDA-equipped mechanic.

Hi I have had the AA mechanic look at it with he’s diagnostic kit and this is what it keeps showing, I’m wondering if their kit is just generic and basic? Thanks for replying 👍

Diagnostic scanners can only give you an indication of what the computer systems are doing. A fault code for the MAF, for instance, may mean that it has failed or it may mean there is a wiring fault or there may be other issues that has been interpreted by the modules as a MAF fault.

The diagnosis process is more involved than just reading codes and swapping parts. I am sure that the AA mechanic is doing his best but you need the services of a competent, knowlegable, mechanic with the right equipment to track down the issue(s).

As above, it looks like your mechanic is changing random parts. Ask here for a garage recommended near your place, that may help. And rather get used parts from ebay or breakers, genuine ones.
