Default New V90 XC Ocean Race D5 & No Apps??

Hey, new car on Saturday - just getting to grips with it (& its gremlins!).

So hello all! Love to speak to someone who has one of these.

One burning question is - after having connected the car to the internet and for the brief period it doesn't say no connection available - there are no installed Sensus apps, no new apps & no updates -- at all -- ???

Surely there'd be some apps to install? I read a post on a thread about maintaining the BT connectivity hotspot after 3 days & someone there mentioned in passing a weather app. It wasn't;t clear to Leif he meant on his phone or the car - but I thought he meant the car.

When I was ordering the car - I asked the dealer to ensure the car's software was up to date. I'm unconvinced they did that but I may be wrong. The level of support I'm getting fro the Salesman now the days I've had it - are turning to the first week - is declining at a steep rate!

It's on my home WiFi (had to point the car to improve WiFi reception). I'm thinking it's got a bug??

Can I suggest that you forget the Salesman, he has done his job and moved on to the next Customer.
OK, not all Salesmen are the same, I have been very fortunate over the years with Volvo ownership and the Salesmen that I have delt with, have always had an interest, in most faults that have developed.

At your handover, he should have spent anything between 1 to 3 hours, going through every function of your new car (depending on your prior knowledge).
He should have introduced you to the Service Manager, or at least one of his team.
This now is your next port of call.
Contact the Service dept and explain your concerns, regarding missing functions, etc.

Try connecting to wifi via your phone instead of your home wifi then see if it finds the apps. It sounds like your home wifi is not stsying connected long enough.

Noted Tem, although I wasn't looking for advice on handling my Salesperson or Dealer - I'm aware I have the option to return the vehicle to the dealer / service team.

I appealed to other Volvo owners of a similar spec for how their vehicle appears to operate (in that specific regard, i.e. apps available to install or not).

Since then, I've resolved it - another gremlin & discovered that there are indeed plenty of apps available to install (which is basically what I was looking for - another owner to clarify for me - the sort of thing that a forum is ideal for).

nu11eaf - funny you should say that! So I paired my work iP 6s - voila!
Switched back to my iP10 - still there. Finally switched to home WiFi - still there too - so that's where I installed them from

Cheers

Default same issue

Hello, I am having the same issue, no new apps available to install when connected either to my phone (USB) or when using the SIM card on the car modem.

Could you please post how you resolve the issue?

Thanks!
