Default Wanted - TAN 2-door interior for '68 Amazon

Hi Folks,

I'm looking for some good tan front seats for my 2-door Amazon (123GT) (edit - 1967).

In my view the seats in the car are not the best with some rips and ugly repairs and the foam has clearly seen many butts over the years so I'm looking for good to excellent replacements.

The front and rear door cards are not the best either so happy to look at what people have stashed away and are willing to part with.

Thought I'd try this before going down the full restoration route and renewing everything. It may be that this is the only way to go if no-one has anything good lying around.

Please let me know what you have. I'm happy to consider individual pieces such as front seat squabs and seat backs, single door cards etc. Doesn't have to be the whole lot to get my attention.

If you'd prefer to email me I'm at volvoamazon808@gmail.com

Many thanks and safe driving,

Mike.

Thanks John, I saw the prices and thought I'd see how good a second hand set up I could collect before going for full new. The new is nice but being so OCD I'd have to do it ALL in one refurb or doing it bit by bit would just make the old parts look even worse.

I've recently restored the seats and side panels in my '69 2-door Amazon with the correct upholstery code covers from CVI. Not cheap, but the pattern is as per the original and the quality is excellent. I would envisage that the initial cost would be offset to a greater extent by the increased value of an otherwise bodily and mechanically sound car.

By the lack of responses with offers of seats it looks like this will be the only way to go. Many thanks for your thoughts on the CVI covers.

Hi Mike

I have some 122 interior, door cards and rear seats too. It would be helpful if there's a picture of the shade as these look darker brown

Pics of tan door cards/interior as requested Kassie.

I think there is a dark brown interior that was available but never seen it in a UK car but happy to be proven wrong!

Let me know if you have anything that matches the attached pics.

Thanks.

I have a couple of front seat bases that are goodish. One the stitching has come away a bit, but repairable. The other has a small cigarette burn from memory.

Failing that, I know of a complete 4 door with beige interior that is breaking for spares. It's been stood in a damp barn for yonks and smells a bit rat ****y. But if you want to try to make a good lot out of a load of old, then you know....
