Default Rear selt belts in a volvo P1800

I have just bought my first P1800. I have many question but the most important one is. Can you fit or has any one fitted a rear seat belt in a P1800?

Due to the 3 of us I bought this car I my son or wife will fit in the back but would like a rear seat belt.

It a 1971 P1800 e with injection however the log book shows it has an 1800 cc engine I thought it should have been a 2000cc is this correct or has the engine been swapped?

Where the best place to get parts?

any help would be great, thanks
.

Yes it should be 2000cc or 1986cc to be completely accurate. Look at the engine block and it will have b18 or b20 stamped on the passenger side. Yes you can fit rear seat belts but there is no perfect solution. you can fit a lap belt in the middle by drilling the floor pan between the rear seat cushion and seat back either side of the central tunnel - ideally strengthening the holes - or you can mount inertia belts to the rear inner wheel arches or the rear pillar near the front belt mountings, either of which look bloody awfull. If you do a search of previous postings this subject has come up many times.

I just had some rear belts made for my Amazon yesterday, and the front ones rewebbed. I can recommend Quickfit SBS, based in Stanmore, North London. If you can get down there they have masses of different colour webbings, chrome fitting etc etc so you can match them to your front ones.

Default Rear Seat Belts

Rear seat belts were a standard fitment for the US. Your car will have the mountings fitted which are really just captive bolts on the wheel arch and transmission tunnel. The belts were just basic adjustable lap belts. I have used Quickfit in the past and they will make a pair up for you.

I didn't mean for belts (I didn't know they did them) I meant for general 1800 parts.
