Rattly T6

My previous V50 T5 always had a fair bit of clicky/rattly/ticky noise from the top of the engine and I just accepted it. However, still being new to the 3.0 SI6, it's more evident than the T5 was. Is it simply a feature of this engine? Any other T6/Polestar owners noticed it? It's only noticeable from outside, stood beside the front of the car or with the bonnet up, certainly not inside, where it is smooth and quiet.
Am I just being a bit paranoid?!

I too went from a T5 to a T6.
I thought the T5 sounded a bit 'tappety' but the service guy said it's the injectors & perfectly normal.
If anything, the T6 is a little noisier, maybe a more mechanical type of noise. But due to the (excessive) sound insulation you can't hear anything from inside the cabin. Shame really as i thought it would be a bit more refined.
Doesn't sound as nice as the T5 either.

Oh and don't forget to keep an eye on the oil level, i check mine once a month or so (about every 1000 miles).

Thanks! I guess it is normal but just wondered. I've seen a couple of YouTube videos where the engine sounds "tappety". I'm already keeping a regular eye on the oil level as it does use some. Some engines do, some don't.

Yeah, I miss that unique 5 pot sound but the SI6 does sound good when prodded, especially at higher revs.

The injectors are rather loud. When converting to lpg is low noise injectors you near the noise die away the second the engine switches fuel and teh petrol injectors go off.

I didn't realise they put the T6 in a V60?
Better power : weight ratio than my XC70!
now, if it was a manual, even better...
