Default V70 With Factory Child seats

I've just registered here so I hope I'm posting into the correct forum. My wife and I are expecting our third baby in the new year. Rather than go down the MPV route we've decided upon a V70 S2 diesel. Ideally I'd like to buy one with the integrated child boosters and possibly also the extra boot seats. How much should I expect to pay for a FSH, excellent example? If I don't find one I assume the standard V70 is fine to take my existing car seats? I live in South Birmingham.

Many thanks

Prices will vary a lot depending on what mileage is OK with you.

However, finding one that will have either the integrated boosters or the rear facing boot seats could be near impossible. Let alone both...

Parkers only list the rear facing seat as an option for models between May 2000 and Sept 2000! If that's true, I've no idea why it was withdrawn so quickly...

V70 is fine with most car seats, but the rear seatbelts are a little short (intentional design feature) and the headrests can't be moved, so some seats can't be fitted.

the 7 seat version of the V70 does go for slightly more but you shouldnt give this feature more value than its worth , put it in context with the overall condition of the car , some people have 7 seat version of the newer 2000 onwards V70 and want to get rid of them on ebay , the last set went for £371 compared to about £150 for the pre 2000 model , they are easy to fit but the newer version dosnt come up very often . The kids do seem to like the rear facing seats more than an MPV because they can see all around , was looking at a Vauxhall mpv and it wouldnt have more space than a V70 with the extra seats and for the smaller kids the extra mpv headroom isnt needed .

There was someone advertising a rear set conversion for the later V70 on Ebay the other day. Starting price £200. However I understand that its not easy to fit and was quoted 4 hours labour by my local independant. If you found a car you wanted that didnt have the rear seats youy could still get it supplied and fitted for about £750.
The other consideration is that its not easy to pack the boot when its full of children (and their legs). We've considered the 7 seat option for our V70 and rejected it on that basis and not wanting the children to share the boot with muddy dogs.

IMHO If you really want 7 seats i'd look at an MPV and I speak as someone who likes their V70...

we did our holiday this year in France driving from Donegal with the 7 seat conversion in the back 2003 V70 with a 580L top box , all the luggage goes in plastic bags and will squash into the box , . The rear 7 seat conversion allows the larger child to sit fully upright with plenty of legroom in the tyre well , the second child is smaller and dosnt need as much leg room but still has enough . We have looked at MPVs but with 7 people in most of them you are still left with the problem there is no where to put anything and you still need the top box . For the rest of the year I wouldnt want to drive an MPV , so the seven seat Volvo is great for what I need it for now . Fitting the conversion is easy but you have to be careful not to break the plastic around the roof lining and rear window sill when fitting the seat belts , removing the seats again can be done in 30 minutes by me and I am not great as a mechanic .
