yep, agree it looks like the central Sensus touch screen, even has the push button (at the top )

But the description specifies 12.3", which is the size specified for the drivers display. As I said, maybe it is mislabelled in ebay. But if this is the route the OP is considering, they may want to confirm with the seller to make sure

More like 50-100 times its own weight in an accident. The Sensus touchscreen is quite clever, which is why it's expensive.

Claim on your insurance, but probably wouldn't mention the iPad sat nav aspect.

I guess the price includes the fitting, the recoding to the car etc.

As mentioned the screen is more than just a screen & isn't a generic part so it'll cost.

I don't have one of the New gen cars but I can imagine that screen replacement on a BMW/Audi etc... will be comparable.

Moral of the story is don't leave stuff lying around in the car unsecured, the lightest of stuff will turn into a hefty missile in a sudden stop or accident.

Think of how much an unsecured dog will weigh at such times.

Yup I would if it saved me 2 grand.....

And voiding the warranty? Come on get real, in the remote chance it caused a problem, how are they going to know?

As I said. Glass half empty. Focusing on everything that might go wrong and ignoring the positive of saving 2 grand.....

And what does the warranty exclude? Non genuine parts I believe. Does it say anything about genuine but used parts?

Charming. We discuss an issue. I disagree with your opinion. You call me a dickwad. The final resort of someone who cant win an arguement through reason.
