rust bubbles
Hello all,
Just bought an XC70 X reg it really is a beautiful motor inside and out and has been very well loooked after. The only bits of rust bubble that I have noticed is at the bottom of the windscreen posts. Just wondered if anyone else has expearienced this on theirs and if they had it repaired. regards John |

Hi, the location of your rust seems quite strange, not a common spot in my experience. On both sides at the bottom of the 'A' post?
Could you post some photos? Thanks

Perhaps some damage occurred if the windscreen has been replaced at some time ?

Had my windscreen replaced on an S60. I noticed rust bubbles, under the trim where clearly some chaffing had happened. Also small rust spots around the area the window is glued in. It appears that it is an undercoat paint and not a gloss finish. Not worried. will squirt some waxoyl under the trim. Couldn't believe the amount of dirt which had accumulated under the trim.

Dunky - are you sure it's the A pillar and not the plastic trims which cover the edge of the windscreen? I've seen bubbles on those...
