Default S40 2003 windscreen fan power

Hi,

I've recently noticed that I have little power from the heater fans when directed to the windscreen. I've removed the pollen filter but still the same issues. There is plenty of power to the foot fans and dashboard fans.

I've used this forum with great success, just hoping someone has some advice.

Thank you.

If you do a search, you'll find a number of threads relevant to this. On mine, at least, the problem seemed to be that the seal between the outlet of the heater unit and the ducting to the screen had failed, so that all that the blast of lovely hot air from the heater was all disappearing behind the dash instead of coming out the vents onto the screen.

The seal isn't listed as a separate part, so it would be a matter of making your own seal; at least one forum member has had success with this approach. Unfortunately, it's really a dash-out job...
