immobiliser/steering lock, Red alarm led on dash dont flash

Hi,
Posting after server hours in this forum and trying few techniques suggested(lock and unlock 5 times,10 times in and out of car etc), but apologies if it is not the correct place..

I have had a 07 Volvo S40 (1.8 Pertrol) for around a year now, got it serviced from volvo main dealer few days back. Due to work didnot drive until this holiday weekend. Now the problems:

when I parked the car and started immediately to adjust the parking, it gave immobiliser / steering lock and wont start. then it started after some time.
and then when i stop after a drive it wont start again.

then started to pay attention, and noticed the red alarm light does not flash at all (it flashed next day morning) and then after a drive , it stopped.

not sure if it is a software update if it was done during the service, but before service I never had these problem. going nuts after expensive service and ruined Easter weekend.

apologies for the long post: but the Key issues after service:

1. Immobiliser / steering lock - unable to start. it let me start after some time , but after few times it wont start at all.
2. when it was working, Red alarm light is not flashing at all(except for a short period during all this immobiliser problems.
3. Horn is not working..

not sure all these are connected..

Have to wait until tuesday when the dealer is open (

The car started after a wait of around 4 hours(kept trying every 15 mins or so)

so far it has not gone to immobiliser / steering lock.

red alarm still not flashing as it should
and horn not working (hoping for a magic )

taking it to nearby dealer on tuesday.

But please advise or share you experience.

Worked ok in the morning, started a few times, alarm flashed.
so went to city center, parked the car , started in 10 mins, there it goes..

"Immobiliser See Manual / Steering Lock See manual" it started only after 5 hours.

and RED LED not flashing anymore.

Took it back to the dealer, they managed to fix it (some software issue ?)!!!!! at peace now. thanks.
