Default V50 Headlight Housing Loose?

Hiyya,

I got a V50 -04 some time ago, and have started noticing my left headlight is sometimes flickering, and sometimes it seems to be messing with the indicator as it can start blinking very rapidly (when using it, that is).

Upon further inspection, I've understood the assembly like this: The steel "pin" in the back of the housing (inside the engine bay) is one thing that keeps it in place, and a plastic clip (that seems to be broken off) is another, and this broken plastic clip is what's giving it enough room to be connecting/disconnecting/playing havoc.

Now to the question at hand: does anyone have any idea how to fix this, without having to get a new light housing? Is there some kind of "hack" or alternative to secure the light housing in place, better than it is right now? Or am I perhaps looking at it incorrectly?

Thanks in advance!

If I remember correctly, it's more of a peg than a clip. Are you sure it's broken off? It's quite easy to fit the lamp without the peg going into the hole.

If it is broken, you can get creative with a piece of dowel and some glue
