Default ABS Fault, BCM-0050 and BCM-0112 stored.

Good evening, I need some help if asnyone can offer any please. I have searched and can't find a solution to my particular issue(s) so I'm really sorry if someone else manages to find a solution...

Driving a short journey recently my ABS light came on, along with Anti Skid System Service Required message. VIDA shows BCM-0050 and BCM-0112 stored. Occasionally this changes to BCM-0050 and BMC-0117, however this is rare and short lived... The floor under the drivers seat is bone dry. no amount of erasing or calibrating clears the code. I did part with £145 and purchase a warrantied anti yaw sensor, however this behaves in exactly the same way. I wouldn't mind any of this, except the MOT is due on the 5th January so really need to get to the bottom of this both pronto and over christmas

Can anyone offer any help as to what I can look to check with a view to knocking this light off and, to be fair equally importantly, making the ABS / Traction control work properly again?

Many Thanks indeed for sticking with this!

TL/DR BCM-0050, BCM-0112 and occasionally BCM-0117 being stored, ABS light on, new yaw sensor fitted, need help, please

You had VIDA open and full fault names and descriptions and fault finding procedures in front of you

So help us by telling us what VIDA BCM-0050 and BCM-0112 are - with their real names and descriptions....

Thanks for the warm welcome...

VIDA is FAR from the easiest software to use, 18 years in IT, 14 of them in the motor trade don't appear to help. BCM-0050, BCM-0112 and BCM-0117 are their "real names". Descriptions are Control module faulty signal for 0050 and AYC-sensor, Sensors not calibrated for 0112, with Communication with AYC-sensor Wrong AYC-sensor mounted for 0117.

You are welcome.
The codes are codes, not names

Just think: if I said you need a BZW1A3S to fix the BCM-0050 problem due to a 59ZHAP causing a type GBZ992 non-linearity in the TCM017, you too may struggle to understand the sentence...

Anyway, the above sentence is purely fictional

Anytime you get a faulty signal error, suspect immediately the can bus connections

Check the power and can bus connections to the yaw sensor and the BCM using a multimeter and a 'scope.
Visually inspect all connectors and clean with contact cleaner.
Check also the connections on the CEM for integrity, paying particular attention to any signs of water ingress / corrosion

And, at all times, ensure the battery voltage is good (and the battery is good)

Sigh... I'm not here to have an argument about whether a specific fault code is or is not helpful to those who know these specific faults and what may cause them, or to discuss just how few of us are likely to have a scope down the back of our sofas... so I won't. Experience in the motor trade has taught me what is important, and what is superfluous noise.

I will check the CEM again, not having any idea which wires or connectors to focus on makes it tricky to do any meaningful checks...

If anybody has anything useful to add, I would very much appreciate it, come the morn I'll get a garage involved and hope I'm not paying them to do something simple

In Diagnostics >Fault Trace >Initial State, single click on each code then View Information bottom left and it will give you an explanation of the circumstances for each code and the possible causes and fixes.
From there, you can decide if any of the checks or procedures are within your capabilities.
