Default 440 ('99) Immobiliser dash light ON after battery change

Hi, I bought a 440 (1999) this weekend and the chap who sold it to me had replaced the battery recently. Since he change the battery the immobiliser light is always ON. The car drives and behaves completely normally.

I'm wondering what the Volvo forum thinks:
(a) ignore the light, everything else is ok.
(b) is there a way to reset this light (without risking some kind of big immobiliser lock down)?

Many thanks in advance, Matt
