Default ABS sensor wiring

Hi
I have just had an ABS/DSTC service required, read the code and get "C003A01 Permanent Fault, Right rear wheel speed sensor. General electrical failure".
The sensors are brand new as are the hubs, the plug that fits onto the sensor seems a bit loose and doesn't seem to click into place.
does anyone know if this plug can be replaced as a single item or is a new wiring loom required?

I'm guessing the plug is the original one from new so if it isn't fitting, is the new sensor genuine Volvo?

Yes they are genuine, the plug should click into place but it doesn't so I think it needs a new plug, but I don't know if they are available as a plug or if I need some sort of loom.

It would help if you described why it's not fitting.
Is it damaged, distorted, different shape completely?
The diagrams in the Vida parts catalogue and workshop manual will confirm the components required, part numbers and the replacement procedure.

Its the same shape but won't stay on the sensor. I have a feeling the retaining catch is broken.
I have looked at the VIDA parts catalogue and can only find the rear ABS sensor but no wiring or connectors. any idea which category number it's under?

It could be under the electrical system section or exterior equipment so you'll just have try other sections.

If you find the replacement procedure in the Repair section then immediately go to the parts catalogue, it will generally default to the correct section of the parts catalogue.

I have no idea what model, model year or engine code we're talking about so can't help further.

I eventually found the wiring harness but there are no instructions for replacing it, which seems a little daunting as I don't know where the rest of the sockets go or where it ends up.
I looked for it in Haynes wiring diagram but couldn't find it. Have to look again more closely.

The vehicle is a MY2010 xc60, FWD, 2.4 drive.
