Default Cranks but no start after battery change

Hi,

I had a low battery in my 2014 V40. It kept showing low battery symbol and then sometime the immobilzer would kick in.
The day I planned to go get a new battery the car would not start. It would try and start but wouldn't. no splutter etc.
I have now put a new battery in the car myself but it still will not start. Same issue, cranks but won't fire.
Is there something I'm missing? reset immobiliser? or some fancy unlock sequence? help

Have changed your battery yet? As I remember, if your battery is putting enough voltage into the system your car won’t start.

It might be worth posting in the appropriate sub section too

Hope you find a quick solution.

I’d get a boost pack on the battery, arm then disarm the battery again so it does a proper unlock cycle and go from there.

Had this many a time on Hondas with slightly weak battery. If the battery isn’t full the alarm system doesn’t cycle properly and you’ll get stuck on immobilised mode.......

Failing that, in all honesty....call the AA. Usually
Less hassle.
