Default C30 Starting Issues 1.6 Petrol

Hi Everyone,

Sorry if this has been covered before, however I can't seem to find anything relevant.

I bought a 1.6 C30 2008 early this year and have had nothing but issues. First issue was the car wouldn't turn off on certain occasions, I replaced ignition switch which solved this issue.

However now when I start the car it "over starts" is the only way I can explain it. Imagine starting an older car and keeping the key turned for longer than you need to and you hear that horrible noise. This isn't a huge issue, however a little embarrassing when starting the car in a busy area.

I have since replaced the spark plugs, coil packs and leads as well as recently switching out the start motor and a new battery which has not helped.

I feel the new ignition which they fitted is faulty or hasn't been fitted correctly and is booked back in, however curious whether any of you have experienced this before?

Once the car has started it runs fine with no issues.

Any ideas would be hugely appreciated.
