There you go, one CPS link. The coils rarely if ever fail, even at high mileage on these. Have a look at James' thread as well, there are a few pointers to changing the CPS in it :

Without testing a few things you'll just be guessing though. Have you got and know how to use a multimeter?
Thank you so much Dave, I really appreciate it

According to Google p reg is 96, so you should be on guard 2 security. You have 2 separate immobilizers. The alarm system locks out the starter motor, so if the car is remote unlocking and the engine turning over that's working fine.

The other immobiliser is an RFID chip in the key, if this fails the engine should still start briefly but shut down after, it may need a break of 10-15s off before it will start and shut down again.

A spare fuel relay is useful to have but you need to test for failure and not change commonly failing parts, as it's just a wasteful diagnosis approach.

The only other indicator you need after eyes and ears is a light to say that you have power getting to the fuel pump. You can attach this to the connector in the cubby hole at the back by the tank.

To use your ears, check for fuel pump priming when you turn on the ignition. You should hear a quiet whine for about 1s, but it has to be off for about 10s before it will prime again.

Your eyes check ignition is working by slight movement in the rev needle during cranking (and not starting).
