Exclamation 2005 c70 issue (newbie)

Hi all I’m new. I have a Volvo C70 S D Auto, power shift.
It seems to have an issue and would like some advice please.

When driving along it seems to be missing and revs run up and down.
Eg. Cruising at 70 in cruise control car jolts up and down.

Appreciate any help!

Thanks in advance

Welcome to the forum.

It could just need a transmission fluid change. Give that a try to see if it helps.

If it doesn't, then I'd suspect something more serious like an input sensor failing. It could also be clutches or solenoids failed/failing inside the transmission too.

In the first instance, get the gearbox oil changed. You need to bring it to a Volvo Specialist ideally, or someone that knows about these transmissions to get a fluid change done. Don't bring it to a backstreet garage, Kwik Fit or Halfords!

Thanks!
I have had the gearbox oil changed at a Volvo specialist it made the gear change smoother than before.

But still revs fluctuate

Ah okay, so the fluid is relatively fresh then really. I think there's a filter that should be changed too, did they do this?

A trip to the Volvo Specialist that did the fluid change may be your next best bet & ask for their opinion, plus they can check diagnostics etc.

It could be an actual transmission issue, which being a Powershift wouldn't be uncommon.

Is it a 2005 (fabric roof) or 2006 (metal roof)? If fabric, the car platform is different and you might have more luck on the 1st generation forum

It can only be a Gen 2 2.0D if fitted with the Powershift 'box I think - I expect OP has got the year wrong with a typo.
