Best bike I every owner was this Buell xb12x Ulysses.

Absolutely faultless and so much torque. What Mr Eric Buell did to that wheezy Harley Davidson engine was nothing short of magic.

Beautiful sound track.
I like V twins also. Until the summer I had a fourth bike: a Suzuki SV650S K6. An excellent bike, 137,000 miles (good for a bike) but it ran like a top.

One of the best sounding bikes I had was the Suzuki TL1000SV (1st year of them) running on race cans - no one would ride behind me 😂

Some great cars and stories so far! I have a modest 'fleet' of Germans alongside my V70 to keep me amused.

Hobby car, owned since 2007, shown here in natural habitat. 1989 BMW E30 325i Sport.

2000 VW Caravelle 2.5TDI, shown here on a camping trip to Cornwall.

My wife's 2004 R53 MINI Cooper S, old pic, it has black wheels now.

I've recently purchased some J tin. Two birds, one stone. It was another tick off the bucket list and we needed a motor for the youngest to learn to drive in.
It's a 2000 model Suzuki swift three cylinder motor, always loved the bucket seats in these, since I spotted one many moons ago, the simplicity, frugally engineered and the fact it was on my door step, ment I ventured into bangernomics. £300 bought me something a 17 year old can, scratch, dent and kill the clutch to his heart's content. To be honest I have become rather find of the thing, replacing a rotten fuel tank and hose, at a cost of £10 ( local breakers) getting the inner sill welded ( mates rates) and replaced the rotten carpet still sees me quids in.
Running 2 vans, the other halfs car, the xc70 and a 940 tucked away for winter leaves little time for the little swift but it's a real turn key motor that cost less then 4 new tyres on the xc70 lol
Regularly get 125 to 130 miles to £15 of fuel. Dogs love it but number 3 child feels his street cred isn't hitting the right level, alas it'll do untill he passes his test and we buy him something modern and the hunt will begin to replace it and a oil dropping xc70 with something to tinker with.

"number 3 child" will be happy with the Swift once he understands the freedom that comes with mobility he didn't have to pay for!
