Don't replace it until you find the cause of oil usage.

The DPF is a symptom, but not the cause, of your problem.

Are you saying it got worse with a new PCV valve?. (Is there any way that the valve is connected incorrectly)

If so I am really amazed...

but I would guess that Next should be a compression test this would confirm rings? ( I bought a kit on amazon for less than a garage would do one for)

might be worth a look into the charge pipe under the turbo to see if it is dumping oil out of the turbo..

also a look into the intercooler se if it has liquid oil in it.. that is a sign of bad turbo... I never found any in my intercooler.

How long ago did you have a regen? could your high oil have been a mix of fuel and oil which then cooked off ( some say this is an effect of failed regens giving rising oil levels)

maybe try topping it up and driving it a bit more to see does it happen again...

I would say it is the same since changing the valve, i cant see a way how it would be fitted incorrectly...

Regen was prob 2 months ago....
