Default XC60 Auto Lights Setting

Is there any indication that the system has switched dipped beam on?
In "Iffy" misty situations, I am unhappy that I do not know what the status is.
I know I can attempt to go to main (undipped) to see whether I get a continuous or momentary blue indicator lamp. But this is unsatisfactory as I may annoy other drivers with this!
My only solution appears to be to go to always on.

I agree, its quite amazing theres no indicator for the lights being on.

Its annoying to have to turn on auto dip and auto wipers too, not really auto when you have to turn them on each time you turn the car on....

Yep - the dashboard illumination dims as it goes into "night" mode. Is that satisfactory on it's own? No.... Had the same issue with my 13-plate VW Passat. On my MY17 XC60 I just used to leave the headlights in Pos II all the time. My wife currently has a hire car (Hyundai I30) which is mostly awful but it does tell you when the side lights, dipped beams and main beams are on...

It's a good indication but doesn't necessarily mean the lights are on though.

With my TFT dash, the dash dim and auto lights appear to be two separate circuits - I've often had the lights come on but the dash not dim until some time after.

I would say it's a glaring oversight.....but it is.You'd think a small symbol on the dash would have been possible.
