Just a quick update tried to do it today and someone has rounded the level plug on the drain plug so got to put it into the garage to have it removed and a new one fitted will keep you updated once it has been done.

Jeezo, it's such a small Torx and a low torque that it'd be hard to imagine someone butchering it! They prob tried an allen key or something.

First of all get a new level plug and O ring to replace the damaged one from your dealer. It was about £3. Get a good set of stillsons and put them around the entire drain plug. There is definitely enough space to use them and they gripped tight enough on the drain plug to allow me to remove it . Once I had it on the bench I was able to use a Dremel to cut a slot in the small ( butchered ) level plug and it came out easily using a flat blade screwdriver by tapping it with a hammer in the slot. It isn't torqued very highly. Stilsons

Cheers both, picking up the new drain this afternoon, it’s going in the garage in the morning as I’m on nights at the moment so hopefully will have another go at it the weekend, cheers again.

Just an update managed to get it done today finally, the oil that come out was more like engine oil, no colour to it whatsoever.
I have put 16 litres through it and put rislone transmission repair in as well on the final fill, when I levelled it the colour was a nice cherry red, I would say a 90% improvement compared to what come out. First impressions is a dramatic difference you can’t tell it is changing gear anymore and is silky smooth, it says on the rislone bottle up to 2 days for it to take full effect. I am going out tomorrow in it so will see if it has improved the slipping so fingers crossed but will keep you updated but it couldn’t have hurt it just flushing that oil out but will let you know how it goes.
