Reconnect the battery then turn ignition on, then after 30 seconds without a start attempt, turn fully off.

Give at least 20 minutes after ignition turn off BEFORE you disconnect the battery.

After disconnection, short +ve and -ve battery leads for at least 30 seconds - then allow at least 180 seconds before you reconnect the battery. When reconnecting put the key in position II before reconnecting - this should give you a "cold" re-set. If all else fails, you could try contacting Volvo/RICA for a re-install of re-map/software.
