Have to say it's a tricky little stretch of road, as the bend tightens up as you head towards the dual carriageway. I'd be interested to know the speeds you managed before and after re-map so I can try for myself, and to see if your trying hard enough |

latest MPG update.....last 4 fill ups
23.61; 22.41; 22.91; 25.45 with the latest being 75% motorway. Seems to be a little thirstier around town although not using the power to any great extent, but longer journeys seems to similar to pre-map. really notice the pick up though, and the way it now accelerates. Alot more confident to overtake on normal A roads. in hindsight, great power increase, bit disappointed mpg has not improved. but heyho, loving the extra power. |

That is a bit of a drop in MPG! Ever considered a V8?

as it happens, next time, i'm hoping to get a V8. I love the practicality of the XC90 and the fact it can feel so "car-like", but i've been lusting after a V8 Range Rover. My mate runs a 4.6 which is LPG'd up and its cheaper to run than my D5. I think the XC V8 is a tad more economical than the Range Rover though. Not sure if i'd miss the 7 seats in the XC though.

Can't say I've ever seen your car around, but I'll keep an eye open for you from now on. |

MTE Upgrade mpg
Hi there
I am interested to know how you are getting on with the upgrade after having had it done for some time now. I have a d5 Sport and want to get a remap done. RICA and MTE being the ones of choice. RICA have the advantage of not having to pay for a failure to a car and as Volvo fit them I keep my warranty with them!!!! I get 29mpg, thats fast motorway and B roads driving with my Geartronic and I want to keep that fuel economy!!! I would be grateful if you could give me an update as to how you are getting on. Cheers! |
