Anyone out there know if this will fit an '05 70??

It'll fit, but:

- the ride height of the XC70 is higher then the V70 so the ball will be too low
- the XC70 has a deeper bumper so the ball will stick out further on V70
- the electrics won't work as the facelift models require a seperate towing module that plugs into the REM

Silly me thinking it would be easy 😢 I'm realising that this new 70 is a PITA when it comes to certain things.

Well, it is perhaps a tad optimistic to expect something designed to fit a specific model and age (2000-2004) to fit a newer and different vehicle

If I can source the right size towing ball will it fit a normal v70 2002 do you think?

I spent two days trying to fit a V70 tow bar to an S60.

It would physically fir the car but the bumper wouldn't fit - the S60 bar is actually entirely different despite the V70 one 95% fitting! I was assured at the time it'd fit indeed it may well fit an S80........

Moral is buy the right tow bar - fixed ones are so cheap it's not worth messing around. There are loads of breakers out there who can sell you the right detachable if thats what you want.

But buying the wrong one is russian roulette.
