my S90 went in for second scheduled service today, and I have been given a nice V90 T8 R-Design in black with a few bells-n-whistles.

to be honest I am not a huge fan of the R-design look. nothing wrong with it, but just not what I would go for.

But oh, do I like the performance of the T8 compared to my D4. I just wish I had had more time to enjoy it and the roads had been dry (and less traffic).

Still, got it tomorrow as well, so maybe a chance then

I think the T8 system isn't without its issues, but I agree it's a great drive chain. I've only ever driven it in the XC90, which is a bit of a tank of course, but I rarely want for more power. Then there's the benefits of electric only, for some, which are well documented on here.

Personally, I also like that given it makes for a very quick car (4.6 0-60 in the S90?) all models remains classy and understated without forcing bonnet vents, diffusers and flared wheel arches on you.

I love my S90 T8, can be so easy to drive with all of the aids switched on in hybrid mode but in power mode it can so easily bring a smile.

I even like the raucous engine tone.

It really is deceptively fast and in my opinion handles really well, much better than my old C350e hybrid.
