2004 Volvo V40 1.9D SE - the alarm siren keeps going off for no apparent reason - even when the car is locked with the key and not the remote (which should not arm the siren....).
However it is now at a garage to have the back up battery on the siren replaced - which hopefully will cure it. Other than that it is a great car

My 940 came without a 5000 decibel sound system, there is no diesel engine, it doesn't shout "look at me"......oh sorry, you wanted to know what I don't like about it......

The ride on newer Volvos is a bit harsh, and I do not like the seatbelt position as it automatically adjusts (read doesn't!) instead of having a manual up and down adjuster.

1- Stereo can't be switched out for a double din with sat-nav
2- small fuel tank, (at least that's what I am blaming for always having to fill it up) 3- lack of aftermarket support/upgrade parts |

its 50mm too short to take the longest box from IKEA. so much for swedish precision
having to press the button to switch on rain sensing wipers . FFS make it work all the time.

My alarm module has packed up, although if i can bypass it im not too bothered.
Clunky suspension i hope to get looked at and maybe fixed this annoying thing that could be linked to the above, when manoeuvring at slow speed it feels like the wheels are clunking back and forth without the car by like half an inch, enough to feel it though the wheel. Headlight aim is right down and there is nothing i seem to be able to do about it, plus headlights condensates up Otherwise, meh.... that's a 2000 Volvo S80. *edit* I have what feels like a slack engine mount! |

C30 R Design 1.6 - had it from new in July 08, bought at aged 20 so insurance was a big factor in engine choice, it's a bit of a slug, a lot of one infact, but apart from that it's great.
Will be getting another for my 25th in April next year, hope a few low milers are knocking around as production is stopping this year |
