actually i bought a pair of K&N 56-9327 filters from a mini spares company, so they probably are't off set at all..
but the mech is saying there's no way he is going to get any filter on at all, which sounds like the cylinder is too far over the carb inlet.. |

visuals...
so, i managed to get up to your man this evening, and have a look. spoke to Simon Brookehouse too and found out the clutch master is supposed to be a lucas girling, or similar. looking at your set up, oilline, it's the right one. mine, i think is out of a land rover classic. it is a "lockheed made in england".. anyone got one the same?
so, apparently UPS offer next day delivery. Simon get ready... wrt the linkage, i think we might just heat the horizontal rod and twist the lugs round and make do with what we've got. otherwise, she's looking good. haven't fired her up yet, but it's all coming together nicely, nice to see the fat chrome glint from under the rear bumper |

Not sure what that one you have is off. Looks like it could be a rover one.
This is what you need http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.d...STRK:MESELX:IT Not sure how you will come off with those HIF filters but the taper should just about clear. I will warn everyone that the mini specialists tend to only sell HIF filters and tell you they fit HS6's when they don't. You can adjust themto work but they are not ideal. |

pm-ed you, on the clutch, Dai. and you're dead right about the HIF filters. i had to fettle them a bit to get them to fit. they don't bolt straight on at all.

it's alive!!!
phwoarharharharhaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa................
holy mother, the car is a monster!!! the difference is incredible. got the clutch master in this afternoon and taxi-ed it straight into the garage. 45 mins later and she's ready to go. absolutely the best money i've spent so far. she's definitely way over the 100bhp anyway. took her up to 110 and she still had more to go... may need to get some bigger brakes now... don't think i'll need the stereo anymore, either. gents, a big thanks to all of your for your help, sourcing parts and guidance on this. very much appreciated. this is a result of all your time, effort and knowledge, really. i didn't know much about Amo's, so you've really given me a great education thanks again. i'm taking her into the terenure carshow on sunday, so i'll polish her up a bit before i post some pictures.. right now, i need to go for another spin Gareth |

I'll give you a shout at Terenure (I'll be in something aircooled but what can you do?)
Great to have it all sorted - enjoy it!
