1992 Check Engine light issue
On the 1992 240 I an restoring, I have an issue with my check engine light.
I admit that, since this is the most advanced car I have worked on, I am over my head - but here is the story. Check engine light is on. I follow the diagnostic routine. The led code indicates "no faults found" Throttle switch and speed sensor tests seem ok Reset start car engine light still on. Are there further diagnostic tests that can be done through the test box? How do I proceed to try and find out what is happening? |

Have you checked both systems, fuel and ignition, using each socket?

That is what I am wondering. I am assuming that the posts other than number 6 must do something, but I have not found a reference to additional tests. So, in answer to your question, I suspect not. Any idea where I look for info on the other tests?

OK. started at the beginning of the manual and found a second set of tests using port 2. That should help!
