Hi.
The guy in the vid made things a lot more difficult than they needed to be. There is no need to remove the cooler rad or intercooler. Remove the plastic under-skirting as he has in the vid. Remove the electric cooling fan and the intercooler pipes to give access to the rad-pack fixing bolts . ( 4 bolts that pass thru all three coolers ) Back these off just enough to release the condenser. Use tie-wraps to hold the rad if needed. Remove the oval-shaped air-dam in front of the condenser. ( there are just two plastic pins - the centre pin type that you press in to release.) Release the connecting pipework and remove the receiver/drier. Slide the condenser down and out. |

Me again...
He was quite right to remove the airbox and turbo pipe but there is no need to drain the coolant or disconnect auto transmission lines. |

That's good to know thankyou. I did think that he made a bit of a meal of it, but I was going to go along with it. Hopefully your way will save quite a bit of time and aggro!!

Absolutely..
If i were doing it I`d remove that or at least release it on the drivers side in order to take out the headlamp. That way you can really see what you are doing. This is cars with the condenser plus wider side mounted drier ... |

Thanks to volvoboy I managed to remove the condenser today. It's quite an easy job.
Only to find that the condenser that I had been supplyed was the wrong one!! Looks like it's going to be a while until I get the beast back on the Road again. |

Hi if anyone is interested I found this a really easy job
I removed the bumper cover and headlights..... The same job as headlight bulb replacement...... And it was just so staring me in the face after that.... Just unbolted the rad.... No draining fluid..... And let it lean forward.... Then to the condenser I used a Nisens part....I have an idea they may make the OEM part And I replaced the Nisens supplied O rings with ones I got from Volvo Job done |
