Stereo/DVD: - Hu-850 question

I've an ill hu850 with a knackered 6 stacker, I'm going on holiday next month and need some music for me and my families sanity .
My question is I've seen a second hand 10disc changer on ebay (genuine boot mounted Volvo unit).it comes with cables but will/should it work with my unit?

It will probably work but I'd get a Grom and play MP3s instead, which will definitely work. It also plugs into the 10 CD changer port and you can hundreds worth of CDs on USB sticks or play from your phone.

Your car may already be prewired for the CD changer in the rear and you can also adapt this for a Grom so you don't need to take the head unit out.

Cheers for the reply,it has an ipod lead in the enter console but I don't have one lol .I fitted a converter back to an aux lead but no joy .
It should work though in theory which is good news

There's nothing wrong with my unit other then no light on the radio. I was going buy a grom unit however couldn't spend £100 for one at the current time! So I went for a bluetooth fm transmitter! I never believe in these but needed something to play music through the radio cheap, I am very surprised how well this work and the sound that come through is amazing can't tell a different between cd and fm ? Maybe a idea ? Also if you don't like It just return it ?

Honestly the best £12-15 I've spent! Couldn't believe how well it works, however i wouldn't know would it suits your need as your traveling a long distances. I travel around 80 miles each way to work and never failed on me.
