Crum Ball Rally - July 6/7/8 2007 France to Italy
I'm doing the CrumBallRally in the summer, July 6th, 7th and 8th.
I have just got the car last weekend for my team and I still have a 4th space to fill. We are a youngish team and I have bought the car. The team is from all over the country, we are looking for a 4th member, do you want to have an adventure? Cost wise, we are camping to keep the cost down. Entrance fee: £125 / 4 = £31.25 each (So you'd pay £31.25 here ) Channel tunnel: £50 car insurance: for a week it looks like about £50 from dayinsure.com. Buy it yourself or give me the details and the money and I'll add you onto the same policy as me The Volvo I have got is a 259,000 740SE that has seen most of Europe. It has 2L 8v Engine and and LPG conversion too. We are looking for anyone who wants a bit of an adventure and hopefully good with a spanner incase anything bad happens to the car. reply here or PM me |

I got back Yesterday evening and my Volvo 740 2.0SE just got 2600 miles on the clock since last Thursday.
This is a pic of us on the car on St Bernards Pass Me on the left, my team mates Steve in the middle and then Sara at the right. We almost overheated at one point in the south of France, but we were doing ~90mph for several hours in 30+ degree heats. The back box came off the pipe. We also ran out of washer fluid! Erm, we got a bit of sunburn too all in all it was an amazing holiday! My car almost has 262,000 miles on the clock now. |

Probably... Although Italians closed their 24 hr petrol stations on Sundays which didn't really help lol. But through France we saved a shed load, the dearest lpg was 74Cents per litre. Where as petrol was mostly ~1.45Euro/litre.
So saved shed loads. Although I forgot to mention some one tried to steal the car in Turin! although they didn't succeed at getting past the drivers door lock |
